Unaccompanied children

Any child or young person below 18 years of age, arriving to Poland without parents or care-takers, cannot take many steps or actions important in the context of legalization of his/her stay in Poland.

This leaflet provides important information for parents and care-takers of children and youth arriving to Poland alone - for example to learn or to study. The leaflet talks about situations, when the legal representative of children has remained in his/her country of origin and is not able to take steps in Poland on behalf of the child in the legalization procedure.

This publication was prepared as part of the Information Center for Foreigners2 project, which PFM runs in partnership with the Mazovian Governor and the Association for Legal Intervention.

It was produced thanks to co-funding of the European Fund for Integration of Third Country Nationals and the state budget.
