Polish Migration Forum together with Save the Children invite people and families with refugee experience living in Warsaw to apply for the Cash for Rent or Cash Assistance program. The cash and rental assistance program is two-fold and aims to support refugees by providing them with financial assistance to meet their basic needs and access to accommodation. The aim of the program is to support participating people in achieving independence while living in Warsaw. Program duration: April 2024 - October 2024 The aim of rental assistance is to ensure people's protection and dignity, while enabling access to suitable accommodation for an agreed period. The rental assistance program is addressed to a specific group of refugees who have just received international protection but have not yet qualified for the state Individual Integration Program (IPI). In particular, the program is addressed to: 1. People residing in Poland and having refugee status, subsidiary protection, tolerated stay permit or permit to stay for humanitarian reasons in Poland (at least one parent in the family must have one of these residence statuses). 2. People who live in Warsaw. 3. People with a work permit (at least one adult must work or be able to take up permanent work and actively seek it). 4. People who want to engage in an active pursuit of independence and integration. The Rental Assistance Program will provide support to eligible beneficiaries for up to 7 months. Assistance will be provided with a gradual reduction in fees from the third month of payment. In addition, the program provides contact with an integration assistant from the Foundation assigned to support you through live meetings and telephone contact. Support will be tailored to the individual needs of qualified people and aimed at integration into the labor market. Moreover, each person participating in the program may use other programs provided by the Foundation on the same terms as other persons. Cash assistance for basic needs (Cash Assistance) The purpose of monetary assistance is to meet the needs of asylum seekers waiting for the results of the procedure for recognition of international protection. The cash program will ensure the protection and dignity of vulnerable asylum seekers. The program is addressed to people currently in the refugee procedure. Depending on people's access to the social security system, the amount of the benefit will be 3 months, with the possibility of extension for another 3-month cycle. Do you have an apartment to rent in Warsaw or the surrounding area? You can rent it to one of the families or people participating in the program.
