Hospitality is often described as an important part of Polish identity. But what does it mean in practice in a country shaped by migration, diversity and social change?

Let’s talk about how we experience hospitality in today’s Poland: as people born and raised here, as newcomers, and as individuals with different backgrounds and life stories.

What helps us feel welcomed and included? What makes it difficult? What do we expect from one another?

We invite you to join a conversation on this topic. We will facilitate it using a method developed by the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue: we will come together to listen to one another, explore different perspectives, and engage in dialogue with people whose experiences may differ from our own. No one will try to persuade anyone else. There will be no single “right” answer. Instead, there will be a diversity of voices and experiences, which each participant will have the opportunity to share by speaking from their own perspective and in their own name.
