Project description

The project supports the pilot implementation of good practices to improve the well-being and mental health of migrants and refugees who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic and its effects.

Project goals

The Mentality project is a response to the deteriorating mental health of vulnerable groups, including migrants, and limited access to adequate psychological help due to the effects of the pandemic. The flagship action implemented under the project will be the introduction and evaluation of the psychoeducational workshops inspired by the 'Mind-Spring' method, a preventive group intervention focused on psychoeducation and support for migrants and refugees.

Activities

Preventive psychoeducational workshops for refugee and migrant groups aimed at equipping them with effective self-help tools and building a community around common experiences and the topic of mental health.

Results

- Delivering a series of psychoeducational workshops to improve mental health, provide support, and build community - Applying a promising practice and collecting information allowing for the effective dissemination of knowledge aimed at improving the mental health of migrants - Equipping trainers and mental health professionals with new psychosocial work tools
