Protection of forcibly displaced persons through community centers in Poland

Project status

Project description

The project assumes comprehensive support and protection for people affected by the war in Ukraine and Poland
seeking refuge in Poland. As part of it, centers are run in various Polish cities
community centers by project partners. In Warsaw, refugees can
receive support at the Community Center run by PFM at ul. Górczewska 137. Apart from
CC we also carry out mobile activities in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship - our case-
workers and psychologists regularly visit shelters in smaller towns.

Project goals

Comprehensive assistance for people affected by the war in Ukraine and seeking shelter in Poland by providing support at the Community Center and through mobile activities on the premises Mazowieckie Voivodeship.


Information support (reception at the Community Center and Helpline), caseworker support (in arranging specific matters, e.g. health, official, educational) in the following languages: Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, Chechen, Dari, Pashto, English, Polish; psychological, legal; in the care of children (in CC there is a day room run by the Foundation for Freedom); career counselling; community events and meetings.


Access to professional support for people affected by the war in Ukraine, effective adaptation to life in Poland, easier access to benefits, mitigation of psychological effects trauma, increasing the number of refugees with access to information.
