Objectives
- Ensure safe and comprehensive access to social, legal, and psychological services for children with migration experience and their families.
- Strengthen child protection through both systemic and individual support.
- Increase families’ knowledge of their rights, obligations, and available forms of assistance in Poland.
- Support the integration of migrant families through legal, psychological, and psychiatric assistance.
- Enhance the competencies of professionals working with children in the areas of child protection, child psychology, and child-friendly legal aid.
Activities
- Case management for children and families as well as child protection interventions.
- Information and legal consultations on rights, benefits, the labour market, residence legalization, and the social security system.
- Language support and assistance with administrative procedures.
- Regular visits of the PFM mobile team to open accommodation centers and collective accommodation centers and daily assistance in Warsaw (InfoPoint at the Multicultural Centre).
- Individual psychological and psychiatric consultations and crisis interventions for children and families.
- Workshops and training sessions for public institution staff, lawyers, psychologists, and other professionals.
Results
- Improved access of migrant families to social services, legal protection, and psychological support.
- Increased awareness among children and parents regarding their rights and obligations.
- Improved mental well-being of children and families thanks to psychological and psychiatric care.
- Greater effectiveness of public institutions through enhanced professional competencies in child protection.
- Strengthened social integration of migrant families and reduced risk of exclusion.
