“Dozens of reasons to celebrate”
At the Polish Migration Forum Foundation, we work with people from all over the world on a daily basis. 20 people shared with us stories about holidays and special days celebrated in their places of origin, about interesting and beautiful customs. Narges from Iran talks about jumping over a bonfire in March, Leyla from Chechnya - about sharing with people in need, Amsal from Afghanistan - about women singing until dawn on New Year's Eve.
There are also stories about Poland: Jose from Bolivia loves Fat Thursday, Marie from Rwanda is surprised that Poles eat potatoes over and over again, and Angelina from Russia / Canada - that Poles are punctual and responsible ;-)
These and other stories are scattered in the space-time of the calendar and the year 2023. There are no boring weeks!
The author of the beautiful illustrations is Yulia Tabenska from Ukraine, a young artist living in Poland.
We wish everyone lots of reasons to celebrate in 2023! With our calendar it will certainly be easier, nicer and more interesting.
All proceeds from the sale of calendars will be allocated to the statutory activities of the Polish Migration Forum Foundation, i.e. helping people with refugee experience in Poland.
