THE POLISH MIGRATION FORUM INVITES YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FREE ONLINE TRAINING FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS, PEDAGOGIES, THERAPISTS WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH EXPERIENCE OF FORCED MIGRATION PT. “PSYCHOLOGICAL WORK WITH A CHILD EXPERIENCED OF FORCED MIGRATION”.
The training consists of four independent parts. We invite you to choose yourself which parts of the training you will take part in.
Part I: “Linguistic and cultural aspects in psychological work with a child experiencing forced migration”, date: 27/11/2020, 17.00-20.15
Part II: “Standards for the diagnosis of a child with a forced migration experience”, deadline: 11/12/2020, 17.00-20.15
Part III: “Tools supporting the diagnosis of a child with experience of forced migration”, date: 12/01/2021, 17.00-20.15
Part IV: “Psychological support for a child with an experience of forced migration”, date: 02/12/2021, hours. 17.00-20.15
After each part of the training, we will send certificates confirming participation (pdf).
The number of places is limited, the order of applications decides. Psychologists, educators and therapists working in the Mazowieckie voivodship have priority (grant giver’s requirement).

About the trainers:
Marta Piegat-Kaczmarczyk – intercultural psychologist, trainer, therapist of Solution Focused Therapy (certification process), Ambassador of the Kids Skills Method at Helsinki Brief Therapy Institute, board member of the Polish Migration Forum Foundation. She works with children after experiences of trauma, violence and discrimination, trains teachers, psychologists, educators and other professional groups. She has completed a number of specialized courses, including cognitive behavioral therapy of children and adolescents, therapy of autoregulation disorders in children, first and second degree training in Solution Focused Therapy, training in Kid’s Skills and others. She is a co-author of numerous publications in the field of education and intercultural integration.
Beata Staniszewska – child psychologist, member of the team of the Polish Migration Forum Foundation. She has many years of experience in working with children and their families, which she gained while working at the Psychological and Pedagogical Clinic in Warsaw, in the Laboratory of Developmental Neuropsychology, the Neurosurgery Clinic, the “Monument – Children’s Health Center” Institute and the “Our Kids” Center at the German Polish Ukrainian Society. He specializes in the diagnosis and neuropsychological therapy of children and adolescents. He diagnoses the difficulties of children with migration experience and supports them in the process of adaptation. He has an open doctoral dissertation at the Eastern European Institute of Psychology in Kiev.
