We warmly invite you to the Picnic celebrating World Refugee Day, which will take place on June 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Al. Zjednoczenia 34.
A Refugee Day Picnic – A Celebration of Diversity and Community
This unique event brings together people from different cultures, languages, and experiences. It’s a time for meeting, conversation, smiles, and a sense of belonging—regardless of where we come from or the journey we’ve taken. The intercultural picnic is an opportunity to celebrate together, get to know one another, and build bridges instead of walls.
Culture and Taste Zone
Food stalls offering dishes from different countries of the world, prepared by people with refugee experience and local volunteers. Aromas that speak louder than words! Plus popcorn, cotton candy, and traditional Polish cakes.
Live Music and Performances
Concerts, dance shows, artistic presentations—all in the spirit of intercultural dialogue and openness.
Workshops and Activities for Children and Adults
Bicycle town, bracelet-making, integration games, soap bubbles, pottery wheel, prize lottery, art workshops, creating pins and magnets, braiding hair.
Conversation and Support Zone
A space to talk with people working with refugees, learn about life in displacement, and find out how to support integration in the local community. There will also be information stands from non-governmental organizations operating in the area.
World Refugee Day, observed every year, is a time of solidarity with people forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution, or disaster. Through events like this, we aim to show that hospitality, empathy, and openness are values that unite us—not just symbolically, but in real, everyday life.
Free Entry.
The event is organized by Międzykulturowy Ośrodek Rozwoju Społecznego MORS.
