Scope:
- Factors influencing the functioning of a child experiencing forced migration
- Psychological support of children in the refugee procedure – good practices Individual and group work
- The role of psychoeducation at work in providing psychological support
- Supporting adaptation and acculturation processes
- Working with families in a systemic approach and in the Solution Focused Therapy approach
- Focus on the use of child and family resources – strengthening the resources of the child and family “Kids’s Skills” method in psychological work
- Supporting the processes of psychophysical regulation
Note: The number of places is limited, the order of applications is decisive. Preference is given to psychologists, educators and therapists working in the Mazowieckie voivodship (grant giver’s requirement).
About the trainers:
Marta Piegat-Kaczmarczyk – intercultural psychologist, trainer, therapist of Solution Focused Therapy (certification process), Ambassador of the Kids Skills Method at Helsinki Brief Therapy Institute, board member of the Polish Migration Forum Foundation. She works with children after experiences of trauma, violence and discrimination, trains teachers, psychologists, educators and other professional groups. She completed a number of specialized courses, including cognitive-behavioral therapy of children and adolescents, therapy of autoregulation disorders in children, first and second degree training in Solution Focused Therapy, training in Kid’s Skills and others. She is a co-author of numerous publications in the field of education and intercultural integration.
Anna Kawalska – Intercultural psychologist, trainer of psychological skills and intercultural competences, art therapist, psychotraumatologist. He has several years of experience in working with children, youth and adults with the experience of voluntary and forced migration. He conducts support, integration and psychoeducational group activities. Creates and implements training and educational materials for teaching staff. It cooperates with non-governmental organizations and educational institutions, such as the Ocrzenie Foundation, the Empowering Children Foundation, WCIES, and the Center for Civic Education.
