Our offer in a few words: Qualified trainers will visit your school / kindergarten and conduct classes on multiculturalism and migration.
Aim of the course: Strengthening children ‘s attitude of respect for cultural and linguistic diversity, interest in other regions of the world and other languages, building openness to contact with children (including Polish children) with migration experience.
Age groups: Classes 1-3 of primary schools and “zerówki”.
Duration: in grades I-III: 90 minutes; in “zerówki”: 45-60 minutes
Place: primary schools and kindergartens from Warsaw and the Masovian Voivodeship
Program outline: During the workshop, participants will meet six children who came to Poland from different parts of the world. During the workshops, children speak beautiful, hand-sewn dolls. Children will learn about different ways of welcoming and cultural customs. The workshop meeting is also an opportunity to talk about why people leave their countries and look for happiness in Poland, why they differ in skin colors and what they dream about. To participate in the workshop (as observers) we also invite teachers who receive the educational package “The whole world in the whole class”, which consists of: a treasury of knowledge, intercultural fairy tales, scenarios of all-day activities, a set of coloring books, puzzles, memo cards and other additional materials. On the basis of the materials received, teachers can conduct further classes with children presenting culture, traditions as well as the concerns and joys of the heroes of “The whole world in our class.”
Additional information: we expect that we will be able to conduct a workshop in 2-3 groups / classes in one school or kindergarten. We want our workshops to benefit first of all classes and groups in which children with migration experience learn. Classes can be conducted free of charge only in public kindergartens and schools.
