The Academy of Migrant Arts is a series of creative workshops featuring traditional crafts from different corners of the world. Each session is led by people with migration experience who now live in Poland.

Join us for a workshop led by Li from Bogotá, Colombia, a person with multiple hobbies, from sports to crafts. Li will introduce us to one of her hobbies, embroidery, a way to personalise your clothes and create unique things. The theme of this workshop is ‘El día del amor y la amistad’ (Day of love and friendship), celebrated in September in Colombia.

During the workshop, we will explore the significance of this celebration and learn the basics of embroidery. We’ll create figures related to this theme, making it a great opportunity to learn this art, which can help you create amazing gifts and customise your clothing.

The workshop will be conducted in English, with instructions available in Polish and Spanish, particularly for beginners. We encourage you to bring your own clothing to personalise, or you can choose to use the tote bags provided for your designs.
