What was the first building you saw arriving in Warsaw? What is a symbol of Warsaw for many of us? Chances are you answered the Palace of Culture and Science to both questions. You can see it from anywhere in Warsaw, you always know it’s there. But how much do you know about it?
We will walk around the Palace of Culture and Science and discover places you’ve seen hundreds of times, we will discuss what Warsaw was like before the Palace was built, who built it, what inspired it, and how it changed what Warsaw’s downtown looked like forever.

We are organising a several walking tour that will introduce us to the history of Poland through visits to the city’s iconic landmarks. We will start at the Palace of Culture and continue exploring other sites in the upcoming months.

We invite you to join us for the first walking tour on 8 June at 11 am.

Meeting point: Plac Defilad
