The Polish Migration Forum Foundation invites primary schools (grades IV-VIII) and secondary schools to report the participation of their students in online classes on linguistic diversity.

What are the games? 

A maximum of 10 groups of students will take part in the game. The classes will be interactive. Students will meet on the Zoom communicator with a PFM trainer and 2 foreign language teachers. Students will have interactive online assignments to do, and to do so they will use foreign languages ​​(those they are learning or do not know at all) and recall their knowledge of Europe’s linguistic diversity. We will use various applications for learning foreign languages. Students will receive points for completing the tasks – we will invite them to the inter-school competition! The three winning teams will receive commemorative gifts.

What are the goals of the games? 

  • Strengthening the linguistic competences of students, supporting them in breaking the language barrier in the use of foreign languages.
  • Supporting the cognitive and social competences of students, as well as strengthening the self-esteem of children who speak languages ​​other than Polish (with an emphasis on strengthening the self-confidence of foreign students and Polish children with migration experience).
  • Informing students about the European Union and its multilingualism and strengthening their European identity.

What are the conditions of participation? 

  • Participation in the games is free!
  • Only schools registered in the capital city of Warsaw (public, social, private) are invited to register. grades IV-VIII of primary schools and students from secondary schools.
  • The program of activities will be adjusted to the possibilities of a given group.
  • Each school participating in the project will be able to “order” a maximum of three games for groups of up to 12 people. The school appoints students participating in the project and provides them with information about the date and time of the game and how to log in (instructions will be provided by the Foundation).
  • The Foundation does not collect contact details directly to students.
  • We invite you to select the date of the game from the list, but it will be confirmed individually with the project coordinator.
  • Students will use the Zoom communicator during the game
  • Each student should have individual access to a computer, smartphone, tablet, with a stable internet connection. competitive spirit!
  • Registered groups of students will receive points for completing the tasks. We will publish the interschool ranking list – we invite you to have fun! We provide small gifts for the 3 best teams.
  • The order of applications decides about qualification for the project

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER:

Zuzanna Rejmer – intercultural psychologist, trainer and advisor on social skills and intercultural competences. Board member of Polish Migration Forum Foundation. Since 2004, she has been working with people from different cultures – she supports young and adult Poles and foreigners in getting to know each other and benefiting from cultural differences. She conducts individual consultations, workshops and development trainings.
