The webinar is targeted at parents whose children are exposed to peer violence. Its purpose is to strengthen the parents’ competence in identifying symptoms of peer violence, hate speech, discrimination, as well as the ability to respond to it effectively – protecting the child and building self-esteem in it.
The webinar will be hosted by Marta Piegat-Kaczmarczyk – an experienced intercultural psychologist, working therapeutically on a daily basis with children experiencing discrimination, primarily due to their origin.
The event will be held in Polish.
The scope of the webinar:
1) What is peer violence? Types of violence: physical, social, verbal and cyberbullying
2) What are the effects of experiencing peer violence (physiological, cognitive, emotional and interpersonal)?
3) How to support a child experiencing violence? 5 steps to deal with peer violence.
