THE POLISH MIGRATION FORUM INVITES TEACHERS AND TEACHERS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FREE WEBINAR.
Purpose of the webinar: to expand teachers’ competences in the area of working with foreign-language students.
Detailed objectives – after the training, the participant is able to:
- diagnose the language skills and knowledge of a foreign-language student starting education in a Polish school,
- define subject requirements for a foreign-language student based on the core curriculum of general education,
- use the language of instruction when working with a foreign student,
- adjust the type of tasks to the level of knowledge Polish language by a foreign student,
- create materials for a foreign student.
Contents:
Ø Legal conditions for the education of foreigners in a Polish school.
Ø Tasks of teachers teaching in an intercultural classroom.
Ø Formulating subject requirements for a foreign student based on the core curriculum of general education.
Ø Rules for creating teaching materials for a foreign student for subject lessons.

About the host of the webinar:
Ewa Pawlic-Rafałowska – teacher consultant at the Masovian Self-Government Center for Teacher Training in Warsaw, a graduate of Polish philology and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Polish Studies – Institute of Applied Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw – Teaching Polish as a foreign language. She conducts classes at the Postgraduate Studies in Glottodidactics at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences and participated in the implementation of many educational projects, including international ones. Co-organizer of international conferences on the education of students with migration experience. Coordinator of the team of authors (and co-author) of the publication “Towards a multicultural school in Poland – Educational package with the Polish language teaching program for the first, second and third educational stages”. Content editor and co-author of the publications: “Another in Polish school. A guide for teachers working with foreign students” and “Intercultural competences of teachers in multicultural Warsaw-Berlin cities. Good practice guide for teachers”.
