Budget: 180 000 PLN

Developing a model that will allow cultural institutions to recognize and map audiences with migrant background.

Objectives

In cooperation with the City of Warsaw and with the support of expert individuals from the Business Unusual program of the Stocznia Foundation, from May 2023 we are working on a model that will enable and facilitate both larger and smaller cultural institutions to reach out to migrant communities. It will also allow us to develop an offer that meets its needs.

Activities

We are creating a manual that will contain tips and tools for working with migrant people in the areas of intercultural communication, integration and participation. Its familiarity will be particularly useful for individuals and teams responsible for programming, communication and accessibility.

To co-create the model, we invited people with experience of migration, as well as representatives and representatives of the New Theater and the Żoliborskie Cultural Center, who are close to the idea of developing a diverse audience.

Results

Participation creates audiences, so we want to support cultural institutions in the process of attentive and empathetic inclusion of migrant people in the cultural life of the city.
