Intercultural Academy of Women’s Initiatives is a project aimed at migrant women.
It is aimed primarily at women from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, Chechnya, who want to run their own business in Poland.
Objectives
The project targets women with migration experience from different parts of the world. Its goal is to support women on the road to starting a business in Poland by organizing a series of workshops and individual consultations, learning the Polish language, promotional events and networking. In addition to gaining specific skills, participation in the project allowed the participants to strengthen their sense of agency and self-confidence.
Activities
As part of the project, we plan workshops and trainings, specialized Polish language lessons, individual sessions, business plan creation, networking meetings and joint outings.
Results
As a result of project activities, several interesting initiatives have been created, thanks to which clients and customers can, among other things, buy beautiful handbags and backpacks, in patterns of their choice, or embroidered vests, cuffs and ties. They can also order specialties of Tajik and Afghan cuisine, learn Arabic and English with innovative, proprietary methods, and buy gadgets and gifts with Arabic motifs.
