The project supports people affected by the war in Ukraine in education and access to the most necessary services.

Objectives

To protect supports people affected by the war in Ukraine – their recovery from the effects of violence and displacement. It also ensures that they have access to services and information.

Activities

  • providing support to children in schools by intercultural assistants
  • providing professional assistance delivered by caseworkers at the PFM Foundation Community Center
  • creating an online training platform for assistants from all over Poland
  • holding networking and in-person meetings for intercultural assistants and caseworkers
  • in-house trainings for the Foundation’s staff on humanitarian assistance

Results

  • responding to the needs of children entering the Polish school system by supporting intercultural assistants
  • gaining independence for newcomers in matters including housing, legal, administrative and health issues, with support from caseworkers
  • access to online training for intercultural assistants from all over Poland
  • expanded knowledge of the needs of Ukrainian visitors among social workers through networking meetings
