192 000 PLN

The cash and rental assistance program aims to support refugees by providing them with financial assistance to secure their basic needs and access to housing.

Project objectives

The goal of the program is to support participating individuals to achieve independent living in Warsaw. The purpose of the rental assistance is to ensure the protection and dignity of the people, while allowing access to suitable housing for an agreed period of time. The rental assistance program addresses a specific group of refugees who have just received international protection, but have not yet qualified for the state’s Individual Integration Program (IPI).

Activities

Who in particular is the program aimed at?

  • people residing in Poland and having refugee status, subsidiary protection, tolerated stay permit or humanitarian residence permit in Poland (at least one parent in the family must have one of these residence statuses)
  • people who live in Warsaw
  • people who can work (at least one adult must be working or be able to take a permanent job and actively seek it)
  • individuals who are willing to engage in an intensive pursuit of independence and integration

The rental assistance program will provide support to eligible beneficiaries for a maximum of 7 months. Assistance will be provided with a gradual reduction of fees from the third month of housing.
In addition to this, the program will involve constant contact with the person assigned to support from the Foundation through live meetings and telephone contact. The support will be tailored to the individual needs of qualified persons and aimed at integration into the labor market.
In addition, each person participating in the program can benefit from other programs of the Foundation, on the same terms as other people.
