We strive to include migrants and refugees in Polish society, ensuring their rights are respected and combating discrimination. We work towards sustainable, responsible integration, recognizing that it is a process requiring the commitment of both sides – the host and the hosted.

We are committed to building social cohesion and resources to function in a culturally diverse world. We aim to create a world where human rights are respected, and people of different origins form communities based on cooperation and trust. We want our knowledge and experience to support the creation and improvement of systemic solutions in Poland. We ensure that our work is diligent and our services are of high quality – meeting the needs, provided by professional staff, with respect for the dignity and autonomy of the individuals we work with. We help everyone, regardless of their country of origin, gender, ethnic background, nationality, religion, creed, worldview, disability, sexual orientation, or age. Our support is free of charge.

History

The Polish Migration Forum Foundation was established in 2007 by Agnieszka Kosowicz to advocate for the rights of foreigners and intercultural integration in Poland. By 2022, the Foundation’s team comprised several individuals primarily engaged in intercultural assistance in schools, psychological support for people with refugee experience (including in Guarded Centers for Foreigners, as well as for children and youth), and supporting women in the perinatal period.

In response to the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, we became involved in the creation and activities of the Grupa Granica. When Poland welcomed nearly 2 million refugees from Ukraine in 2022, the Foundation began to expand its scale of operations, enlarge its team, and develop in every aspect. The team grew fivefold, providing professional, comprehensive, free assistance to tens of thousands of people with migration experience annually and continually adapting this assistance to changing needs.

Our Network

The Polish Migration Forum Foundation is part of the Migration Consortium, the Border Group, the International Detention Coalition, the European Network of Migrant Women, and we cooperate with the National Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations. We aim to implement the Core Humanitarian Standards.

The Polish Migration Forum Foundation is registered in the National Court Register (KRS) under the number 0000272075 and has the status of a public benefit organization.
