The „come on a word" (chodź na słówko) project involves supporting migrants in learning the Polish language. We are continually recruiting individuals willing to conduct conversations in Polish and English. In 2023, 100 international pairs were formed, meeting at least once a week for at least three months (most continue to meet) live or online.

We train our volunteers in the methodology of teaching Polish as a foreign language, explain the specifics of working in a migrant environment. All receive access to exercises and textbooks and can also use methodological advice.

What do our volunteers say?

„In December 2023, Taisiya and I ended our joint language meetings. However, there are things left in me that I want to share.Thank you! It was a wonderful experience. They want to help learn the language, I learned a lot about it. It was a great “inter-foundation” idea! 😊- Thank you!!! To my Taisiya ❤. I couldn’t have gotten a more wonderful person to meet together. Her determination and insight in learning the Polish language simply impressed me. In addition to her work and daily tasks, she found the strength and time to pursue her goal. I know she will reach perfection in her use of Polish ❤. I keep my fingers crossed for her and carry her in my heart all the time!” – Lidka

“ Hi, I recently finished lessons with Daniel. It was an interesting experience, together we learned a lot from each other, but Daniel got an offer in Spain and is moving there. The meetings were supposed to last 3 months, and there were probably 8… Well, and now the void. The action is great! 😊”–  Michał
