Financial assistance for accommodation (cash for rent)
The aim of rental assistance is to provide protection and dignity to people while enabling access to suitable housing for an agreed-upon period. The rental assistance program is targeted at a specific group of refugees who have just received international protection but have not yet been qualified for the state Individual Integration Program (IPI).
Who is the cash for rent program specifically targeted at?
- People residing in Poland and holding refugee status, supplementary protection, tolerance of stay, or humanitarian stay permits in Poland (at least one parent in the family must hold one of these residency statuses).
- People living in Warsaw.
- People who are able to work (at least one adult must be employed or able to take up permanent employment and actively seek it).
- People willing to engage in intensive efforts toward self-reliance and integration.
The rental assistance program will provide support to qualifying beneficiaries for a maximum period of up to 7 months. Assistance will be provided with a gradual reduction in fees from the third month of accommodation onwards. Additionally, the program involves regular contact with the assigned support person from the Foundation through face-to-face meetings and telephone contact. Support will be tailored to the individual needs of qualified persons and aimed at integration into the job market.
Furthermore, each person participating in the program may benefit from other Foundation programs on the same terms as other individuals.
