The Migrant Arts Academy is a series of creative workshops showcasing traditional crafts from around the world. Each workshop is led by individuals with migration experience who currently live in Poland.
We invite you to a workshop led by Jose from Bolivia, during which we will discover the rich artistic traditions of the Andean highlands. Art can offer a different perspective on everyday life, but also a way of seeing the world and expressing beliefs. Paintings can capture the artistic, musical, and mystical feelings of a given culture.
During the workshop, we will explore motifs such as Pachamama, Inti, colorful mountain landscapes, and mystical creatures from the Andean cosmos. We will also learn about the significance of colors in Bolivian painting and how they convey beliefs and cultural values.
Together, we’ll experiment with geometric and linear painting techniques. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and creative openness. The goal is to enjoy the creative process and connect with the spirit of Andean art.
The workshop will be held in English, with instructions available in Polish and Spanish. All materials are provided by the organizer.
Participation in the workshop is free, but places are limited.
