HOW TO SUPPORT CHILDREN-REFUGEES IN A POLISH SCHOOL
Two-day workshops for people working as intercultural assistants and teachers’ help in schools in the Capital City of Warsaw
Two dates: September 3-4 (Saturday, Sunday) and September 10-11 (Saturday, Sunday)

Attention:
Only people working in schools and kindergartens in the capital city of Warsaw can take part in the workshops
the condition for obtaining a certificate of completion of the training is presence during both workshop days

Workshop session topics:
- A foreign child in the Polish education system
- The role of an intercultural assistant at school
- How to support the integration of students from Ukraine with Polish peers
- Polish system of protecting children from harm – the “Blue Card” procedure
- Hate speech in the school environment – how to recognize and prevent it
- Psychology of the functioning of a child with experience of migration and refugee
- First aid psychological for people with experience of migration.
- Children with special needs.
Additionally, in the second week of September there will be webinars entitled “Multilingual student – how to support linguistic development and potential” and “Psychological support for a child experiencing trauma”. Each of them will last approx. 1.5 hours (the lecture part with elements of the online workshop).
The workshops are organized as part of the project “Training Warsaw intercultural assistants and teacher’s help”. The project is co-financed by the Capital City of Warsaw Warsaw and UNICEF.
