We invite you to participate in one of the series of study visits to schools that have been educating pupils from other countries for many years – foreigners constitute a dozen or so percent of the school population. The visits are intended for school heads, pedagogues, teachers responsible for the integration of students with migration experience, education specialists from leading bodies and other institutions supporting education in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.
Study visit 05. 12. 2019 will concern preparatory departments for foreigners. The visit will take place at Primary School No. 221 with Integration Departments. Barbara Bronisława Czarnowska in Warsaw.

  • Program of the visit: 

10: 00 – support for younger students. Visit to the preparation department at grades 1-3. Meeting with the school’s headmaster. Meeting with an intercultural assistant from the Ukrainian language employed by the Polish Migration Forum Foundation
11:30 – support for older students. Visit to the preparation department at grades 7-8. Meeting with teachers running the department.
13.00 – end of the meeting. After the visit, we invite participants to dinner.

  • Aims of the study visit: 

The purpose of the visit is to show participants the practice of working with foreign children, in particular:
– functioning of preparatory departments,
– qualifying children for wards,
– assessing and promoting students,
– additional support for students at school (intercultural assistant, volunteering).

We invite up to two representatives from one facility. Due to the guidelines from the donor, we invite only representatives of schools and institutions from the Masovian Voivodeship.
We can refund travel costs by public transport (2nd class) – after sending the original tickets.
