The Polish Migration Forum Foundation strives to respect human rights on the Polish-Belarusian border. The presence of migrants in this region is undoubtedly the result of political manipulation. However, this cannot be a reason for violating human rights by Poland. We oppose sending people back to Belarus without the opportunity to effectively apply for international protection. We do not agree with the way in which border protection activities are carried out by the Polish uniformed services, which endangers the lives and health of migrants. We also do not agree to the criminalization of humanitarian aid provided selflessly by various people in Podlasie.

Since August 2021, we have been providing humanitarian aid to refugees regardless of their skin color, religion, origin, gender or age. We also constantly appeal for respect for the fundamental rights of people crossing the border. Every person has the inalienable right to life, health and safety. Every person should get help if they need it. Every person should be able to help another person whose life and health is in danger.
